As many of you know, one of the life groups in our Boerum Hill missional community is responsible for a community garden in Bed-Stuy. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to serve, and you are invited to join in the work of the garden on the following dates in August:

Saturday, August 14 @ 9:00am
Sunday, August 22 @ 9:00am
Tuesday, August 31 @ 6:15pm

Park Slope Missional Community

This neighborhood-based collective comes together once a month to worship, pray, and celebrate what God has been doing through service opportunities in our neighborhoods. If you live in Park Slope, Sunset Park, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights or any neighboring area, we look forward to getting to know you. The purpose of this proximity based group is to be regularly serving and loving our neighbors, caring for one another, and promoting justice in ways that clearly show the love and character of Jesus.

Boerum Hill Missional Community

Philosophical Objections to Faith

There are many reasons people choose not to believe in God or follow the way of Jesus and the way of the Christian faith. Some of the reasons lie in our will and some of the reasons lie in our minds. If we are honest most of us entertain serious doubts at some stage of our life about the existence of God and the reliability of the tenets of Christianity. Instead of ignoring these doubts or pretending they don’t exist, we want to have a time where we can discuss them in a thoughtful way to discern whether the way of faith or the way of doubt or something in between should have our confidence.

This is an open forum which is an opportunity for those of all backgrounds and faiths to come and present objections to the Christian faith. We will do our best to proceed through the most pressing objections with orderly but lively discussion and debate. All opinions and ideas are welcome, so please invite your neighbors, coworkers and friends.
